2022 FIFA World Cup Prop Bets

The World Cup is finally here! Four and a half long years we have waited; eight and a half years if we are just talking about the United States team. The World Cup is one of the most bet on sporting events in the world so you know we have to get some action on it. Here are 5 prop bets we like in Qatar.

Poland to be eliminated in the Round of 16 +140

Poland is in Group C with Argentina, Saudi Arabia and Mexico in this year's tournament. They are led by one of the best players in the world in Robert Lewandowski, and him alone makes them a threat in this tournament. I believe that Argentina is a lock to make it out of this group and I also believe Saudi Arabia will finish at the bottom; so that leaves it between Poland and Mexico to advance to the knockout stage. Mexico has not been in good form recently and made it out of CONCACAF qualifying mostly due to the lack of competition. El Tri seems to be out of sorts in their organization and I think Poland does enough to move on to the next round. Poland would then have to take on the winners of Group D, who presumably will be France. Considering you get better odds on Poland than Mexico in this bet (+140 vs +120) and I think Poland will advance, this is a prop bet that I have locked in.

Costa Rica - lowest scoring team +500

There is a reason that Costa Rica is the betting favorite to be the lowest scoring team in this tournament. They are a virtual certainty to not make it out of their group. Group E is loaded with Germany, Spain, Japan, and Costa Rica. They struggled to score in qualifying and that will likely continue in Qatar. There best chance at scoring will likely come when they are down three or four goals and put on in the net towards the end of the match when the opposition has taken their foot off the gas. I like the betting favorite in this prop bet.

Morocco - to finish at bottom of Group F +120

Group F is an underrated group with the likes of Belgium, Croatia, Canada, and Morocco. I like Belgium to easily move on the the knockout stage with Croatia following them, so it comes down to Canada or Morocco to come in last in the group. Canada is in their first World Cup since 1986 and I think they will have a ton to prove. They were impressive in CONCACAF qualifying and I think they have more of an ability to get a draw or even a win against Belgium and Croatia, than Morocco does. You are getting better odds with Morocco than you are Canada in this bet (+120 vs +100) so I am going to ride Morocco to finish at the bottom of Group F.

Qatar - to finish at bottom of Group A -200

Look, I know that these aren't the best of odds but I think if you are going to lay the money with one prop bet; this is the one. Qatar is in their first ever World Cup and obviously only qualified because they are the host country. The draw didn't do them any favors as they are grouped with Senegal, Ecuador, and the Netherlands. They are a bit of an unknown but I think they will play extremely hard in front of the home fans, but inexperience will be one of their fatal flaws in this World Cup. If Qatar can't at least must a draw against Ecuador in the opening game, you can count this bet a winner.

Group F - winning group +850

I am going to take a flier on the winner of the 2022 World Cup to come from Group F. I think you are getting great odds here with Belgium and Croatia likely being the two countries that emerge from this group. Croatia has already shown that they have what it takes with their runner-up finish in 2018. Belgium has a truckload of talent in Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard, and Romelu Lukaku. I'm not too confident in a singular team in this tournament to hoist the trophy so I don't mind taking a chance with Group F.
